2010 State of Hospital Medicine Report

Survey
2010 marks the first year of the joint effort from SHM and the
Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), to produce the most
in-depth and comprehensive survey of hospital medicine in the
country.
 This
September, SHM and MGMA will jointly release the 2010 State of
Hospital Medicine Report Based on 2009 Data, which is a
supplement to MGMA’s annual Physician Compensation and Production
Survey. The supplemental report includes more in-depth information
than what is reported in MGMA’s standard survey report, plus
information about practice demographics, staffing levels, turnover,
staff growth, compensation methods, and financial support, among
others.

MGMA will be releasing its Physician Compensation & Production Survey

CD, and on-line versions starting this June. This report includes
compensation and productivity data for hospitalists as well as 96 other
