The Research, Innovations, and Clinical Vignettes (RIV) poster
competition is one of the most popular events at SHM's annual meeting.
It enables hospitalists from across the country to discuss emerging
science and clinical cases, share feedback, and make valuable
professional connections.
The RIV Resource Center will be the home of all of SHM's RIV
information, past, present, and future. Whether you are planning to
submit an abstract or are looking for information on becoming a
reviewer, we encourage you to take advantage of the resources here:

New for 2012
Two Poster Sessions!
To accommodate the growing number of RIV posters more effectively,
SHM will hold two poster sessions at Hospital Medicine 2012. The
Research and Innovations poster reception will be April 2, 5-7 p.m. The
Vignettes session will be April 3, noon-1:30 p.m. Both sessions will be
held in the exhibit hall.
Submission deadlines
The submission site will open on Thursday, September 1 and close on
Friday, December 2. Good luck with your abstract!
