Medical Special Interest Groups for Hospitalists
Purpose
The purpose of the SHM Special Interest Groups is to provide SHM
members with a centralized location to go to for relevant and current
information regarding a given specialty or topic. These areas are for
Hospitalists of a similar mind and interest to connect and effectively
communicate up to date information relating to their areas of
expertise.
Overview
This Area will function to meet the goals of SHM members interested
in a specific area of expertise by providing them with the latest
resources available in order to improve hospital care at both individual
and institutional levels.
SHM will provide the following:
- Open forums
- Information about CME and other educational opportunities
- Job postings by specialty through SHM's Career Center
- Publications and Abstracts listed by specialty
- Ability to obtain current Clinical and Quality Improvement
Tools
- Information on Funding and Support
- Medical News Updates
