Michael Powe, APAA

Michael Powe is the vice president of Health Systems and Reimbursement Policy for the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In that capacity he deals with health care policy issues, third party payment concerns, the Medicare and Medicaid programs, and various state and federal regulatory agencies. 

Mr. Powe also serves as AAPA’s staff liaison to the American Medical Association’s CPT Editorial Panel and Relative Value Update Committee which evaluates the Medicare coding and payment process. He is the author of the book, Physician Assistant Third Party Coverage, and an adjunct assistant professor at the George Washington University Division of Health Sciences in Washington, DC.
