IHI 5 Million Lives Campaign-Prevent Surgical Site Infections
This slide set is part of the IHI Surgical Site Infections Campaign. The slide set provides an overview and introduction to the interventions outlined by IHI for preventing surgical site infections. The four focus areas are: Appropriate use of prophylactic antibiotics; Appropriate hair removal; Controlled 6 AM postoperative serum glucose in cardiac surgery patients; and Immediate postoperative normothermia for colorectal surgery patients.
