This Patient Education Brochure submitted by Jeffrey Schnipper, MD, MPH, FHM, Director of Clinical Research, Brigham and Women’s Hospitalist Service provides information for patients on how to manage their diabetes while in the hospital. The brochure includes information on why it is different for patients to control their blood sugar in the hospital as opposed to at home, checking blood sugar in the hospital, tips for eating in the hospital, medications, and when to call a nurse.
