A leadership meeting was held at 5:30 p.m., and had leaders from several of the area hospitals come to chat. The lecture portion of the night ran about 45 minutes, with 15 min for questions at the end. Dr. Laurence Lesser, a cardiologist from a private cardiology group in North Atlanta gave a talk on “Syncope”. The strengths of this lecture was that it was largely case driven, each with a quick learning point. While this kept people adequately engaged, the lecture was essentially devoid of any evidence based medicine, which made the lecture feel less valid.
