News

December 2016
On Thursday, December 08, 2016 the Memphis held a meeting at the Char Restaurant in Memphis, TN. There were 25 attendees present from 8 different hospital medicine groups. Taylor Williams, MD have a wonder lecture about Psychiatry in the Hospital Setting.


August 2015
On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, the Memphis Chapter met at Fleming’s Steakhouse in Memphis, Tennessee. Approximately 20 attendees were present from four different hospital medicine groups. Dr. Muthiah led a 50-minute talk on surviving sepsis followed by a question and answer session.

The Chapter announced a request for nominees for a leadership committee which will be voted on at the next Chapter meeting in early December.


May 2015
On Thursday, May 7, 2015, the Memphis Chapter met at Seasons 52 in Memphis, Tennessee. Speaker Nitin Khosla, MD, provided a presentation on “Hyponatremia – Overview and Hospital Management.”

February 2015
On Wednesday, February 4, 2015, the SHM Memphis Chapter held a meeting at Folk’s Foley in Memphis, Tennessee. Approximately 15 attendees were present, representing four different hospital medicine groups. Speaker Luke Hansen, MD, MHS, from Northwestern Medicine/Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, presented on transitions in care. General chapter business was also discussed.

September 2014
On Tuesday, September 9, 2014, the Memphis Chapter met at Capital Grille in Memphis, Tennessee. Speaker Dan Dressler, MD, provided an update on hospital medicine.
