The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) is delighted to share scientific research as part of the Hospital Medicine 2020 (HM20) Virtual conference. With more than 1,900 submissions, a blinded review process took place where 1,161 abstracts were accepted to present.

Top Research and Innovations abstracts were invited to speak in plenary, research, and innovations oral presentation sessions that are available as part of HM20 Virtual On Demand, while poster abstracts were invited to create an ePoster, available to view in an online gallery.

Though not all authors were able to prepare an ePoster, this year every accepted abstract was published in the Journal of Hospital Medicine Online Supplement. On this site, you can view all accepted abstracts from HM20 Virtual as well as previous meetings. SHM encourages you to view the hard work and wealth of knowledge that is shared in these abstracts.

HM20 Virtual On Demand 

Accreditation Statement:

The Society of Hospital Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Statement:

The Society of Hospital Medicine designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 40.5 (forty and one half) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit^TM.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Statement:

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 18 (eighteen) MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.  It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
