The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) is a medical society comprised of hospitalists that exists to promote exceptional care for hospitalized patients.
With over 60 chapters nationwide and 5 chapters internationally, SHM’s robust chapter program offers you many opportunities to connect with your hospital medicine community. All chapters located within the United States are grouped into 12 geographical districts and 4 regions (East, South, Midwest and West). Each district is represented by a District Chair who serves to report on local chapter businesses to the National Board of Directors.
Members are assigned to a chapter based on their geographical location.
